Plone CMS is built upon the Zope application server. We have worked with Plone and its host platform, Zope for many years and can recommend both.

Plone CMS is one of the premier community led OSS projects and over the years the product has matured into an exceptionally powerful Content Management System deployed by a startling variety of organisations from large government departments to personal websites.

The Zope application server is also an OSS product; it too has matured over the years as an excellent product for routine web services. It underlying OODBMS (Object Oriented Database Management System [ZODB]) sets it apart for the rest.
